What types of diagnoses or impairments does Engaging Physical Therapy, LLC treat?
Various Aquired Neuromuscular Impairments, for example: Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Traumatic Brain Injury, CVA (stroke), peripheral neuropathies, seizure disorders
Developmental Disorders, for example: Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophies, spinal muscular atrophy, Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome, Developmental Coordination Disorder
Balance and Mobility Impairments, for example: complications of diabetes, immobility, and vestibular impairments
What are the Fees for Physical Therapy Services?
1 hour of physical therapy: $120.00; $90.00 for 45 min session if shorter session is appropriate. Fees are prorated if shorter time is appropriate for physical therapy.
Is the fee for physical therapy service covered by my insurance?
Engaging Physical Therapy, LLC is an out-of-network provider, which means we do not directly bill insurance companies. Some insurance companies may offer out-of-network therapy benefits and reimburse you for some or all of your PT services with us. It is recommended that you to call your insurance provider to review your specific benefits. An itemized bill can be provided to our patients at the end of the treatment plan to submit to their insurance for reimbursement.
The benefit of Engaging Physical Therapy, LLC as a physical therapy provider is the direct hands-on care with an experienced physical therapist using multiple therapy approaches combined with patient education and an individualized home expercise program. Use of equine movement or hippotherapy is a specialty of Engaging Physical Therapy, LLC and has been proven extremely effective when utilized for appropriate patients. This multifaceted approach of Engaging Physical Therapy, LLC can produce more functional results with fewer visits and create financial savings in the long term as traditional insurance models frequently require increased time and money (co-pays and deductibles) to achieve your goals. A large portion of the value in our approach to physical therapy comes from direct treatment with a very experenced physical therapist at all times providing both treatment and education.
Note: Physical therapy services are typically Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) eligible.

What should I wear/bring to my physical therapy appointments?
Long pants with stretch to them (no jeans that cannot stretch)
Closed toed supportive shoes
Any assistive devices, bracing, etc that you use for your daily activities
Appropriate outerwear as needed for the climate (jacket, sweater if needed for outdoor treatment)
Sunscreen
